Not just a leap in the dark:
Faith is placing the full measure of your weight onto something / someone. It’s trusting that what you know about the quality and nature of the object is dependable. For this reason one’s faith is as only as good as the certainty of the object in which it is placed. This understanding is why we at Grace Church encourage people to investigate the claims of Jesus against the backdrop of life’s difficult questions.
Testing your immune system:
Doubt often gets a bad wrap (especially in the South). However, good doubts are like antibodies because they cause your system to respond in a way that hopefully contributes to a more healthy robust worldview. Good doubts ask the question, “What is the answer?” For this reason we shouldn’t be afraid of asking hard questions. There are many reasons people object to the Christian faith and we are committed to helping you investigate them.
A community with which to travel:
Whatever your questions, whatever your starting point, the most important thing is that you don’t navigate the journey alone. Real life doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We all need a community of people with which to process our understanding of truth. We hope you find resources helpful, but ultimately we challenge you to take a step further into community.
